This website exlains the effects that gangs have on people and society. Johnnie didn't fit in school and was made fun of all the time. So when gang members acted like they were his friends he began hanging out with them and following them. The gang made Johnnie steal his grandpa's car for a drive by. The gang effected his life and influenced him to make made decsions and effected his life.
What i thought was odd (pertaining to the second paragraph) was that he chose to be in a gang because no on "loved him" But if you think about it, in the institution all the boys and girls have to dress and look alike, and thats what gangs do (colors and things) so choosing to look the same as others effected his life, to have to go and dress like others..
